Higher Education – Academic Quality
We partnered with a leading Australian Dual Sector University, with operations in three continents, who has over 90,000 students and circa $1 billion revenue. As a dual sector provider, the University has a complex academic quality regulatory environment, needing to meet the requirements of both TEQSA and ASQA. RIVOR Advisory supported the University through an academic quality improvement program including the design, build and operationalization of a new centralized model to monitor, govern and drive continuous improvement in academic quality. The impact of our work included reduced disruption risk across the University through a robust change agenda and has assisted the university to reduce their academic quality risk profile across the enterprise.
Higher Education – Travel Business
A major American University’s shared-service travel support function was confronted by significant operational difficulties, poor user feedback and was contributing to an unacceptable risk environment associated with its ‘duty of care’ obligations. RIVOR Advisory supported this client with a detailed operating model review that culminated in the design and implementation of an innovated new service model that incorporated an end-to-end service; from book to expense, incorporating new technology and outsourced travel specialists. Our advice and support enabled the client to realise operational efficiencies, improved customer / user experience and established a platform to unlock innovation and cost advantages, through industry partnerships and an improved procurement strategy.
Health Services – HR/Payroll Service
Our client, a global healthcare company with over 30,000 employees, was challenged by the complexity, inefficiency and risk of managing their diverse and decentralized workforce through multiple HR platforms and processes accumulated through a series of business acquisitions. RIVOR Advisory lead the design and implementation of a new workforce solution to transform their Work to Pay (Build, Deploy & Reward) model. We assisted the client to realize operational efficiencies through the alignment and digitization of processes, improve their reporting and control environment, deploy a scalable payroll and HR solution that can support continued business growth, and embed a much stronger focus on employee experience.
Health Services – Rostering Solution
Our clients were major public hospitals with over 35,000 employees, each seeking to transform the way that employees were rostered and rewarded for the work that they performed. Cumbersome manual processes plagued the hospitals, the lack of technology hampered the ability to select suitably qualified employees for shifts and they were unable to estimate the future cost of rosters. This created a multitude of inefficiencies and a severe lack of transparency in terms of both financial and operational performance. RIVOR Advisory lead the design and implementation of a new rostering solution to transform their Work to Pay (Build, Deploy & Reward) model. We assisted the client to realize operational efficiencies through the alignment and digitization of processes, improve their reporting and control environment, deployed a scalable rostering solution that can support continued growth, and embed a much stronger focus on employee experience.
Aged Care Services – Workforce Scheduling
As a major Aged Care provider, with numerous residential care locations, our client was experiencing a range of issues in deploying employees to shifts and was having to mitigate shift gaps with expensive agency staff. The lack of visibility with future rosters, caused adverse operational impacts and the quality of the resident experience was being eroded. RIVOR Advisory undertook a comprehensive review of the rostering and scheduling practices, which identified performance gaps and we developed a range of improvements that had a beneficial impact for the business. These improvements completely redesigned how rostering and scheduling would be undertaken and redefined the accountabilities/responsibilities for the management teams.
Mental Health & Disability Services – Infrastructure Transformation
A major provider of mental health and disability services, our client experienced significant growth in recent years and their underlying infrastructure was struggling to cope with the increase in demand and evolving service needs. This combined with increased regulatory pressures and a changing funding model, the organization was becoming exposed to an increasing array of risks that could potentially challenge its viability as a competitive and quality provider. RIVOR Advisory developed a strategic business case to invest in a new suite of technologies that would underpin the growth of the organization and transform the delivery and support of services. We are now assisting the client to manage the implementation of these technologies by third party vendors.
